On the way home from a funeral, I got a call from a dear friend and former colleague. Through her tears, she told of a tragedy; her grandson’s wife had died unexpectedly. They have three small children (the oldest is six). I did all I could and that was to pray with and for them. I wanted to run home and hold my family tightly in my arms. All I could think of was Rev. 21:4: ”He will wipe away every tear.” Oh, Father, we lift up all those in pain and sorrow. Oh, I wish You would return soon, amen.
