Apply the Blood of Jesus

Flu is rampant. Another young lady in our church has it. Oh Father, we ask for healing and deliverance from this epidemic. I have a busy day ahead, putting the finishing touches on my message. God told Moses, take a lamb, without spot or blemish, slay him, put his blood over the door posts of your homes and “when I see the blood” - not when I see your righteousness, you don’t have any - but when I “see the blood I will pass over you!” It’s still true. When we apply the blood of Jesus, our Passover lamb, He will forgive us. Amen.

God’s Provision

Reminder again how life can change in a nano-second. My wife fell at church fellowship hall yesterday...bleeding. The lady in front of her fell trying to help her; they’re both going to be ok (thank you Crisp Regional ER😇). Father, help us remember that the only safe place...safe for eternity...is with You. I am so thankful for Your provision yesterday and forever in Jesus' name, amen.

Christ Is Our Engineer

Had my daddy on my mind this morning. His favorite song was "Life is like a mountain railroad with an engineer that is brave. We must make the run successful from the cradle to the grave". The song is right. The Engineer is Christ the Lord. He will be with us. He said I will never forsake you or leave you. Oh, what an Engineer, oh, what a Saviour! Thank you, Daddy, for telling me. Amen.

The Power of the Blood

Paul said he was chief among sinners, but I hadn’t been born yet. I listened to the Gaithers singing “yes I know, that the blood of Jesus can make the vilest sinner clean”. Not only make us clean, but give us a home in heaven. The Blood not only covers our sins; it erases them. He said in Hebrews, "I will remember them against you no more". As this country bumpkin preacher says, "that will put you on shouting ground!”. Amen.

Worship - it’s our Duty

Awesome day of worship as two men came to be part of the church family. One of our ladies has surgery this morning. We are planning for our Valentine Banquet on Wed. night. We must remember that our first and most important duty is to worship. We were created for this. Father, today we worship and praise Your matchless name. We thank You for our salvation, purchased by Jesus on the cross; we plead the only thing we have, His precious blood in His Name, amen.

Daddy, Where’s the Sacrifice?

Isaac was Abraham’s son - the one whom the covenant would continue. Yet - God told Abraham to sacrifice him. What was God doing? In Genesis, we see a picture of God’s plan of the ages - His Son, our Passover Lamb. It will give you goosebumps seeing God at work. The message today is "Daddy, where’s the sacrifice”. We stream live on our website and Facebook. Father, help us to worship You truly today, in Jesus' name, amen.

Jesus Died Willingly for Us

Saturday...full moon and frost...beautiful. Father, thank You for another day of physical life. Help us use it for You. The message Sunday is “daddy, where is the sacrifice?” Read Genesis 22. God spared Isaac, but His own Son He did not spare. The awesome truth is that Jesus died willingly for us. Does it hurt to see those who reject Him? Oh, that today they would be saved. It’s not what we have done that will send us to hell, but what we haven’t done. Amen.

Without Him

Made it through the storm - who do we thank? The Father God Almighty, the Sheriff, the police, Crisp County Power, the road crews, and the first responders. We lift them up in prayer. Pray for me. I have a funeral service for a baby. Oh my, help me Father to say the right thing, to comfort, and to encourage the parents. Without You, Father, I’m helpless in Jesus' name, amen.

Protection from the Storms

If a funeral can be good my cousins was. We laughed; we wept; we worshiped. She’s home with the Lord. Father, we ask for protection from the storm, the physical ones, but more importantly release us from the storms of life. The physical ones only last for a short time, but life’s storms go on and on. Father, deliver us in Jesus' name, amen.

Thanks for the Memories

Visitation for my cousin last night, tears and tears, hugs and hugs, family not seen for a long time. On my way home from Ellaville, the old song came across my heart "Precious Memories , how they linger, how they ever flood my soul”. Father, thank You for the memories, for this moment of time. Help us use it for You. We pray now for those in sorrow and in pain for healing and deliverance in Jesus' name, amen.

God Is So Awesome

Last visited with a young man who has just been saved; he told us the next day he received, out the blue, a new job offer at a much higher salary🎉. God is so awesome. As we get deeper in our walk with Him, we begin to realize just how much He really loves us and cares for us - beginning with the cross. My message this Sunday is “Where is the sacrifice”? Isaac asked that of his father. Watch our services on our website and on Facebook. Have a great Tuesday, amen.

God at Work

God at work...young man came for salvation yesterday🙏. It doesn’t get any better. Then this morning, a young man - on his way to work - ask me to pray for him. Oh, what a privilege. Right there in the middle of Flash Foods, I put my hand on his shoulder and prayed. Oh Father, thank You. Last night, we had our deacon ordination. We still have one more to ordain. I'm rambling, so forgive me, but God is so good...that’s what I’m trying to say. Amen.

Have a Relationship with Jesus

Precious cousin passed away yesterday...prayers for the family. I'm thankful for her relationship to the Father through Jesus. Nothing else matters except this. Do you have this relationship? You can. Anyone who calls on the name of Jesus shall be saved. Didn't mean to preach, but I woke up with this on my heart. See you in worship. Amen.

Death is a Reality

Attending a funeral for a lady today-death unexpected at her young age. Know of another young man's death- knew his family. Yesterday, prayed with an old friend whose son passed away recently. He told me that his wife is under hospice. Oh my, death is a reality for us all, but God has made a way for life eternal with Him. Hear my message “the first blood sacrifice” Sunday at LBBC. Help us today Father, we can’t make it without You. Amen.

Called to Serve

Great night of visitation. Thank you to those who are so faithful to go. Our deacon ordination is Sunday night. Two men have been chosen to be ministers to the church family. The first seven called by the first church (I know scholars don’t think they were deacons, but they did everything a deacon should do) ministered to the church family. They witnessed and shared the gospel. We are blessed by those who serve with grace and humbleness. We have all been called to serve. Have we found our place? Help us Father today to find our place. Amen.
