We Have Hope

Carried my wife to the Unadilla cemetery yesterday to visit her parents, brothers, sisters-in-law's graves. We put new flowers on the graves, prayed, and shed a few tears. An old song came in my heart, "precious memories, how they linger, how they ever flood my soul”. Paul reminded us that we don’t sorrow as those who have “no hope”. We have hope (not wishful thinking) built on the assurance of God’s word. Thank you Father, in Jesus' name, amen.

His Name is Wonderful

Awake at 4:30 AM. Satan took the opportunity to parade a catalog of my sins before me. I said Satan get behind me - these are all covered by the blood that Jesus shed on the cross, and He promised me He would remember them against me no more!! His name is wonderful, Jesus my Lord, Master of everything, Jesus my Lord. Amen.

Nothing but the Blood

So much pain, suffering, turmoil. Why - because we live under the curse. I can’t blame Adam and Eve, our first parents, I’ve done even worse! Only a blood sacrifice could deliver Adam & Eve, God did that. Only a blood sacrifice can deliver us. Jesus did that on the cross. "What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh precious is the flow that washed me white as snow!” Amen.

Thank You Father

Got caught up on praying as we watched the weather reports. Father, thank You for delivering us from this storm; thank You for delivering us, for saving us, for giving us a personal relationship with You, for Your Holy Spirit that lives with in us, and most of all thank You for Jesus - who died for us to make it all happen. The message today is "back to the basics”. We are streaming live on our website and on Facebook.

Cast Your Fears on Jesus

Saturday - I'm on the way to Weston, Ga. for the funeral for the father of one of our men. There's a storm coming. Jesus stood up in the boat and rebuked the wind and the waves, and they were still. He can also calm the storms in our life. He is the Creator and God of all. Father, we ask You today to still the storms that threaten us; we cast all of fears upon You, in Jesus' name, amen.

Jesus, Come soon

Going to Macon for one of our faithful members who has been through so much. He has surgery - that we are praying that will help with his healing🙏. I was at our home place in Ideal yesterday. At the cemetery, I visited my parents, grandparents and many other family members graves. I had tears with so many memories. There will be a family reunion someday. Prayed on way home - Jesus, please come soon, but so many are not prepared. Help us to reach them, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Claim the Promise of Jesus

On this Thursday, I claim the promise of Jesus - that He would never leave us - even to the end of the world. My insurance policies have all sorts of exemptions where they won’t pay under certain conditions. But Jesus said, “I will be with you always!!” Thank You, Father, for this guarantee on what we’ve committed to You, our eternal destiny. May the Holy Spirit be our comforter and guide today in Jesus' name, amen.

Everything is in God’s Hands

Born at the start of World War ll, I have lived through Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War and many others. Still scary. I don’t watch the news. I can’t do anything but pray. Everything is in God’s hands. His divine will and purpose will be done. Study Jeremiah with us, and we will see God dealing with His chosen people as they have rebelled against Him. Father, l pray that as a nation we would repent and come back to you, in Jesus' name, amen.

God Planned Us for Him

Jeremiah - we begin an in-depth study of Jeremiah where we learn we are not accidents, but the direct creation of our Father, God. He told Jeremiah, "before I formed you in the womb, I knew you and had My plans and purposes for you”. Wow! God planned us for Himself. Father, today help us fulfill those purposes. Protect the little ones, especially the unborn babies, in Jesus' name, amen.

Who Do You Say I Am?

Awesome day of worship yesterday. Another couple came to be part of the church family...to worship, to serve, and to help with our ministry. The message was "life’s greatest question” - who do you say that I am? Our eternity rests on our answer - that He is Lord, He is our Saviour. Sang a little in the message and several said it was a good message. One said - and if I were you preacher, I’d stick to preaching😂. Have a blessed Monday in Jesus' name, amen.

Is the Lord’s Return Imminent?

Watched a little of the news, Father, the world is a mess of our own making. I believe that I see the signs appearing everywhere. Is Your return imminent? Father, I pray that we would repent as a people and return to You. Lord, I do pray for those who are lost physically that they could be found and returned safely to their families. I pray for those who are lost spiritually that they could be saved before it is too late🙏🙏. Help me preach, teach and reach in Jesus' name, amen.

Will You Follow Jesus?

In Mark 8 Jesus asks the question on which rests our eternity: "who do you say that I am?". Peter got it right. "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!" The conversation continues in verses 34-36. "Now that you know who I am, will you follow Me?" The two most important questions of all eternity and our eternity rests on our answers. Father, we know who You are and we will serve You. Help us to do our utmost, in Jesus' name, amen.

Jesus Is Our Light

Long day yesterday, I'm sometimes just overwhelmed at the sadness, sickness, and troubles. I remember Job’s statement when his whole world turned upside down - "even if He slays me, yet will I trust Him”. And Jesus told us, "I will be with you always even to the end of the world”. Father, even when the way is so dark, You are our light. We trust You with our eternity, in Jesus' name, amen.

Be a Witness

Im a witness in court today🙏. Father, help us be witnesses for You, and that others would see Christ in all that we say and do. We were blessed to see this new year, so many friends have passed away. We know even in our sadness that You have made a way. The hour is coming when You will return for us, and we will be reunited. This is our hope and confidence. We offer our only plea - the blood of Jesus, amen.

Happy New Year

Father, thank You for allowing us to see another year🎉! Mama wouldn’t wash clothes on New Year's Day. She said you would have to do it the rest of the year. She was right. Father, we choose to worship every day of the year! Help us hold to the truth of Your word...not mindless superstitions. We had a great New Year’s Eve service🎉. Have a new year filled with joy and love🙏!
