Happy New Year

Father, thank You for allowing us to see another year🎉! Mama wouldn’t wash clothes on New Year's Day. She said you would have to do it the rest of the year. She was right. Father, we choose to worship every day of the year! Help us hold to the truth of Your word...not mindless superstitions. We had a great New Year’s Eve service🎉. Have a new year filled with joy and love🙏!

Best Christmas Gift Ever

Tragedy at a church in Texas, Satan was at work. We have an enemy who is relentless. Father, as the new year approaches, help us to cast all of our cares on You. Help us to reach people in your name. The best christmas gift ever was a young girl who came yesterday claiming Christ as her Savior. Tears of joy were shed, and our church was elated. Thank you Father, amen.

Jesus Understands

Last of the children leaving now. Tears and already looking forward to their next visit. Life is so tough. Jesus understands. He came and lived among us...experiencing all that we do. When we cry out to Him, our Creator knows and sends His Holy Spirit to help and comfort us. Father, today we lift up our hands in worship and praise of You. Amen.

There’s Something About That Name

Taking down Christmas decorations at the church this am. Tuesday, 6 PM pancakes, testimonies, & music on New Year’s Eve. Christmas over? Have one more Christmas message this Sunday - "what’s in a name?” Three great names at Christmas: Immanuel, God with us, Jesus, He will save his people, Christ, the anointed one of God and my favorite - Jesus. The last word on our lips as we leave for heaven and the most mentioned name in the ICU waiting room is Jesus. There’s just something about that name...amen.

Free from the Curse

People are starting to wish me happy new year. It will have its share of happiness and sadness. Why? Because we live under the curse-but I’ve read Revelation 22, and we will have a home in heaven free from the curse. At my age I long for that. I'm trying to help so many who are struggling by praying for their healing and deliverance. I don’t mean to be so “down”, but it is a tough time for so many. Father, deliver them in Jesus name, amen.

Full of God’s Presence

Oh what joy we experienced last night. Had great fun opening the gifts, laughing and seeing all of our loved ones. Is this a taste of what heaven will be like? Is this what our loved ones who are already there are experiencing?  Father, today we pray especially for those who are in sadness that soon we will be reunited.  Because of Jesus we do not sorrow as those who have no hope. Oh my, I’m full of Your presence this morning. Amen, amen🙏!

Merry Christmas!

Luke 2: "I bring you good news of great joy for all people. For there is born unto you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord". Merry Christmas! Thanks to all of you who read my “ramblings at 6 am”. You are a blessing and encouragement to me. Father, we thank you for Jesus, our Saviour and Lord. We lift up the weary, the sad, the lonely, those who are struggling...help them, please in Jesus' name. Amen!

Joy of Christmas

Up early with a precious lady from our church at the ER. Please pray❤️! Christmas Eve...oh what joy but not happiness. Happiness is dependent on circumstances, but joy is having Jesus in our lives. Christmas Eve service is at 6 PM. Please come. All are welcome. Merry Christmas! As tiny Tim said, "God bless us. God bless us everyone”! Amen.

Jesus Is the Reason

Christmas is almost here...sadness. A dear friend went to be with the Lord yesterday. Father, we lift up those in sadness. Please comfort them, reassure them of a great reunion. Jesus came into our world and lives to make that reunion possible. In Rev. 22 Jesus said, “I am coming soon”. I’m with John the Revelator, "even so, come, Lord Jesus". Merry Christmas! Amen!❤️

The Ultimate Gift

People have showered us with gifts🎉. We are so grateful and thankful😇. We remember what the angel told the shepherds (luke 2) “unto you is born this day, a Saviour...” the ultimate gift: God, the Creator, wrapped in human flesh, who came to reveal Himself to us...to die for us...for our forgiveness. Oh what a gift. Oh what a Saviour! Merry Christmas! Amen.

Ready for Christmas?

Christmas parade was last night. LBBC church float was awesome. Thank you to all who helped and rode in the cold. Christmas day is just a few days away. We invite you to a Christmas Eve service 6 PM by candlelight. Our theme always is celebrating the most awesome event when the Creator God stepped into our world to rescue us...to die for our sins. He is returning soon and the time to take us with Him is soon. Ready for Christmas? Ready for His return? Amen.

Know God Personally

The wise men followed a star to Bethlehem. A star, creation can tell us there is a God, but only His Holy  Word, the Bible, can tell us who He is, and only His Holy Spirit can make Him known personally. The message Sunday is "All about the wise men”. Have a blessed Thursday. See you at the parade tonight. We'll be the ones with the sleigh🎉🎉. Amen.

Mary, Did You Know

After the shepherds had told Mary and Joseph about what the angel had said (Luke 2), Mary kept all these things in her heart. One of the ladies in our choir is going to sing “Mary, did you know?” "Oh Mary, did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water. Mary, did you know...He would be the great I Am!!" All that we have - that will last for eternity - is in Him!! All else will fade away. Oh it’s Christmas. Christ has come into our world and more importantly into our lives. Amen. Merry Christmas!

Jesus Came to Bring Hope

Church Christmas party last nite was a time of joy, fun and worship. On the way home one of our deacons called to tell me of a tragedy. I was just devastated. Father, today we pray for all those who struggling, who don’t know which way to turn, who see no hope. Help us share Jesus - Who came to bring hope. The angels proclaimed “good news of great joy...a savior is born"!! Oh, that’s the best news! Help us today in this struggling world in Jesus' name, amen.
