Brotherhood and WOM meeting was last night.🎉 We had great fellowship with two awesome Christian men, one a pastor. They brought their guitars, and oh, we worshiped; they’re awesome.🤙 A number of folks are facing medical procedures, personal issues, as long as we’re here, that will be. Father, guide us, help us minister, that’s what You’ve call us to, amen.

MLK Day,✝️I never met Dr. King, but during my broadcast career I interviewed many of those who worked with him. It gave me new insight about him. Slogan today is “Not a day off, but a day of service”. Our greatest service is to share with others about Jesus. Father, help us do that today, amen.

Attended a funeral for sister of one our precious members,✝️if a funeral can be good, it was.❤️ The pastor had an awesome message that honored her life, comforted the family, and challenged us. Did we know Jesus as she did? I bowed my head and thanked the Lord for saving a sinner like me.✝️ Thank You, Lord for saving us, amen.

Begin with prayer and reading of God’s word, it’s a simple act of worship.✝️ To begin the new year start with John’s gospel, he begins by telling us that the Word was in the beginning. The Word was with God and the Word was God.✝️ It’s a good start for the year, this day and our life, amen.

Oh my, I got caught up on my praying last night!🙏🙏 Thank You, Lord, for watching over us during the storm.✝️ I lift up all the first responders, the clean up crews, and the power crews. Long time friend came to our home yesterday, he’s a handyman, did some repairs for us. Before he started, we prayed.🙏 When he finished, we prayed again.🙏 The beginning and the end is a good time to pray.🙏 Oh, had so many prayers answered in the past few days.🎉Father, thank You for hearing us, for blessing us. Got shots in both knees and it helps.🎉 Thankful for medical science, they can do so much,😇but the Father is the true healer. One doctor told me “I have a few pills and potions, but He is the true healer”.✝️ Father, we lift up all in need of healing; our son asked for prayer for a friend having heart surgery today, amen.

Day two,😇 the countdown is on.✝️ In this new year, there will be joy and sadness. We’ve learned that by experience.✝️ This year, as always, we must hold to God’s unchanging hand. Saturday morning, I had coffee with the men at Chick-fil-A. We laughed, remembered and prayed.🙏 When these “pop-up” moments occur, seize them. These are moments sent by God. On the cusp of a new year, I don’t know what lies ahead, but we trust You, Father, with today and tomorrow, amen.

Oh, what a night of visitation!🎉 God opened doors and hearts. On the way to the nursing homes, they put up with my singing, my preaching and my jokes. Sunday morning, New Year’s Day, we will have coffee, donuts, chocolate milk, OJ, & breakfast casseroles at 9:30 a.m. It’s a great way to start the new year.🎉 Father, thank You for this day, amen.

Our son is on his way home.🙏 Last night, he sang and played for us at prayer meeting.🎉We have been blessed with our family, thank You, Father. Lord, again I lift up all families, the building blocks of life. Many are struggling right now, oh, please put Your arms around them, amen.
