Want to be “politically correct?” It’s simple; put God first in every thing, and it will all fall in place. In pain? Worship Him. In sorrow? Worship Him. In everything worship Him first. Jesus said, “All who are heavy laden, come to me, and I will give you rest”. Amen and amen!

God gives us opportunities at the least expected moments. While walking out of the church, a young family’s car broke down. I was able to help a little. It was a golden moment; they had been to worship several times.🎉 Oh, thank You, Father, for the golden moments; help us seize them.✝️ This is God’s day; let’s use it wisely, amen.✝️

Thank you for your prayers yesterday.🙏 I was sitting in the waiting area, when the lady, that did the scan on my wife, brought her out and said, “Phil, everything is good!!” Oh, thank You, Father. Today, we have another procedure, and we have to get hair cuts.😅 Please read Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus says He will give us rest, and He does, thank You, Lord, amen.

If a funeral can be good, the one yesterday was as we came together to celebrate the life and legacy of a longtime faithful servant✝️. Homecoming is tomorrow. He later wrote that as he looked at the earth from the moon, it was a big blue marble, and that he was just a speck among the billions of people, but that God knew him and loved him. Oh, we got blessed. A sweet lady in our church brought us some zipper peas and some peaches for “dinner”(some call it lunch🙄). We had peas, and our daughter made cornbread and peach cobbler.🎉 I’ve got a ton of prayer needs, for healing, for comfort in sorrow, and for people to be saved.🙏🙏 Our homecoming at Lake Blackshear Baptist Church is this Sunday. It was a day, yesterday. A church member’s sister-in-law died unexpectedly, her husband, a pastor, had passed five months ago.✝️ Then I got a phone call that a faithful servant of the church had slipped away and that her husband was back in the hospital.🙏 A third call came telling that another faithful member’s son-in-law was in serious condition, still another faithful member’s son has surgery tomorrow.✝️ Father, they need You, oh, we need You. Please help us, only You can, amen.

Read this: “God made today for a reason, so take joy in today”. It’s a good thought, but sometimes problems, sadness, illness weights us down so heavy that it’s difficult to have joy. Father, that’s when we bring our burdens to You, that You would deliver us. We trust You with today and our eternity, thank You, amen.
