Donโ€™t Let Satan Divide Us

Dr. MLK day, I never interviewed him, but I did interview several of those who worked and served with him. They gave me a deeper insight to his work and ministry. Father, we ask today that Your Holy Spirit would draw us all together as a mighty army for You. Don’t let Satan divide us as we worship and serve You as one, amen.

The Creator God

Mercy, it’s wet, cold. Our daughter and son-in-law are battening down the hatches, expecting snow and ice in Rome, GA. One of the men in our church is headed out to restore power after the storm. Folks on TV are blaming “Mother Nature”. That’s a name for a non-existent pagan goddess.โ˜น๏ธThe Creator God is in absolute control. We ask the Father to protect all those in path of the storm, in Jesus’ name, amen.

God, the Sustainer

Message tomorrow is “God, the Sustainer”. He created all; He sustains all. Oh, what a Mighty God we serve!! The more I read, the more I study as His Holy Spirit guides, the more awesome this God becomes. Father, thank You for revealing to us Your love and sustaining power. We lift our hands in praise! Amen and Amen.

Seize Your Opportunities

Awesome night of visitation (yep, we still do that)! God opened some doors and hearts.๐ŸŽ‰ I have worship at Blackshear Villas this morning.โœ๏ธ The ladies are kind; they tolerate my preaching, my jokes and even my singing๐Ÿ˜…. It’s one of the high lights of my week. Father, thank You for the opportunities You give us, help us to seize them. Put some in our path today, amen.

Be Watchful

World can turn upside down in a short time. I was rejoicing over so many blessings and answered prayers yesterday. Then on the way home last night, I was reminded anew that our enemy, Satan is like a fierce lion, stalking about seeking whom he may devour.โ˜น๏ธ I was heartbroken, difficult to sleep and praying with all my heart.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ Father, help us immerse ourselves in Your Holy Spirit, deliver us all from Satan, amen.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Itโ€™s Hump Day!

When I was “working”, we called Wednesdays “hump day”. It’s down hill till Friday.๐Ÿ˜….. Now the days go by at “warp” speed!๐Ÿ˜‡ Don’t have that many left. Father, thank You for this day of life, help us use it wisely for You. We ask that at the end of our way, You give us a home in heaven with You, amen.

God Has a Purpose for Us

One of cats went missing. We called, no response. Our daughter was going out to look for him, then he comes walking up. He had been asleep on the dryer in the laundry room.๐Ÿ˜‡ We have two cats, and they think they own the place. They let us stay because we know how to run the can opener.๐Ÿ˜…Cats have a place and purpose. We were created by God, and He has a purpose for us. Let’s not be missing in action.๐Ÿ™Father, guide us to Your purpose today, amen.

Iโ€™m Lifted Up

Messy rainy morning, but I’m lifted up because of answered prayers. We had our largest number in Sunday School in two years and three new members of our choir.๐ŸŽ‰I’m quoting our son, “Dad, prayer works!” Now this morning, I have some serious, unspoken requests, for healing, deliverance, salvation. They are unspoken, but please mention them to the Father, He’ll know,๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™amen!

God, the Creator

Message today is “God, the Creator”. Everything we can see and all that we can’t see came into being by the direct creation of God. We are His best creation, created a “living soul”, so that we could worship and be in relationship with Him! Father, thank You for creating and loving us. Oh Father, we ask that today Your Holy Spirit could break through before it’s too late, to the hardest heart, to be saved. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

No Complaints

Up early (as usual), prayed, got breakfast for the ladies, and did my reads (Bible and from 3 other books). It’s my routine. I’m now drinking coffee and watching Andy Griffith๐Ÿ˜‡. I am reflecting on how a loving God has forgiven me, blessed and provided for me and my family.๐ŸŽ‰Complaints? I don’t have any. Everything perfect? No, but I want to sing, “What a Mighty God we serve”, amen.

No Resolutions

Brrr, cold weather! Hey, it’s January; here in the new year, I have no resolutions. I can’t keep them anyway, but what I am trying to do is count the blessings and answered prayers. I’ve had five in the last few days. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of things from years ago that have come to pass now. Oh, Father God, thank You, thank You, what a mighty God we serve, amen!!

Our Little Slice of the World

Tonight, with several of our deacons, we’re going out on visitation.๐Ÿ˜‡ Jesus told us to go into all the world with the “good news”. We support missionaries with our tithes and prayers, but this is our little slice of the world. So, look out here we come!  Father, please go before us, open doors and hearts, amen.

Call on Our God

Begin January Bible study tonight,๐ŸŽ‰it’s the book of Psalms. We begin with Psalm 22. In this we see the writer go from suffering to praise,๐Ÿ™read it again. Look for Jesus on the cross in it. The writer encourages us to call on “our God”! He is personal, not remote or removed from us!! Father, our God, thank You for being our God!! Amen.

God Is Still In Control

Brrr! Cold this morning.๐Ÿ˜‡ Our family in Rome had light snow. Praying for those who are in the winter storm. Heat and cold, the Creator God is in control. As I grow older, I realize how absolutely we are dependent on Him, who loved us so much He sent His only Son to die for us, to save us! Father, thank You for the heat, the cold, for saving us!! In Jesus’ name, amen.

God Has a Plan

On the way to the VA in Dublin.๐Ÿ˜‡ I remember my days in the Army; it seems like-no, it was a “long” time ago, 67-69. I learned many valuable lessons there. It was in Germany that God began to speak to me. I had no idea it would lead to the Ministry. Listen, God speaks in the every day things. He does have a plan for every life.โœ๏ธ Father, today, give us open minds and receptive hearts as You speak to us, amen.
