Waiting in line at Hardee's  (run later on Saturdays), I thought about how we take so many things like doing the “biscuit run” for granted.😇 But without God’s grace, mercy and bountiful supply, we would be helpless and hopeless.✝️ Father, thank You for all things, don’t let me take anything for “granted”, amen.

Message Sunday will be “Where are you?”. Part of it has first person testimony that is awesome. Oh, the Father knows where we are, but sometimes we’re not sure ourselves.🙄 We think we know, but we may just be hiding behind a tree (that’s what Adam & Eve tried). Where are you? Come on home, the Father is calling.✝️ Father, we lift all those, who may not know where they really are, please bring them home, amen.

Saw the moon and the morning stars in a clear sky this morning, oh the beauty of it. Remember that God had told our first parents (Adam& Eve) to care for it.✝️ Then on a major road nearby, it is inundated with trash and debris. I believe that commandment “to care for” is still on the books. Oh my, forgive me, just venting a little.🙄 Father, help us to care for and tend Your creation, in Jesus’ name, amen.

In Mark 16:7 Jesus tells the ladies at the tomb, “Go tell Peter!” Peter, who had denied Jesus three times, once with a curse…this Simon Peter, Jesus was about to restore him. Jesus wants to restore all who have strayed, to bring them back into the fold.✝️ Father, we ask for restoration for all, in His name, amen.

Busy Monday-😇 funeral in Albany, my wife and I getting our second shingle’s shots, working on a sermon(it needs some work🙄). What’s on your plate today? In the busyness of it pause, pray, ask the Father for help, He will. I know from experience. Father, it’s Monday, we need You, in Jesus’ name, amen.

I have another funeral tomorrow in Albany for a faithful servant, retired from the phone company. She was one of the “belles of Southern Bell”! I ask for two things: the right words to say, to honor her memory, to comfort her family, to praise God and for traveling mercies. I’ve driven on the autobahn, but I’m not as confident as then.🙏 Today is the day of worship, let’s do it!! Amen.

Restoration…that’s what Jesus does in our lives. He restores us to a right relationship with the Father. No matter how far we’ve strayed, He wants us to come home. Two examples: Simon Peter, after he had denied Jesus three times with a curse and the prodigal son, in the far country. Oh, He has restored me. He will restore all, just call on His Name, today, amen.

Awesome afternoon of watching our Brotherhood men plant a vegetable garden at our church.🎉 It’s another of their outreach ministries.  Then tomorrow, a group of WOM ladies are headed to the Women’s Spring Event conference. The Father is bringing us back to worship and outreach following the Covid-19 shutdown and with new determination. Oh Lord, we want to worship You and reach and minister to all. Help us, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Talked with a long time friend yesterday, she had fallen again. Then last night moving a podium, I caught my foot on an extension cord near the church piano and slammed my hand against it. I had a big blood blister, and I bruised my knee😕 again. Falls are our biggest hazard, please, be careful.✝️ Father, we are Yours, please protect us and guide us, this is Your day, help us use it wisely for You, amen.

This Sunday’s message is entitled, The Last Conversation. Before His ascension to the Father, Jesus talked about three things: the End Times, Coming of the Holy Spirit, and what we are to do till He returns. Read Acts, chapter one. There is so much sadness. A faithful servant shared last night that his brother had passed away. He was the last of his immediate family. I read the funeral home notices, and they’re all busy.✝️ Father, please put Your arms all those in sorrow, in Jesus’ name, amen.

 I have still another funeral service today for a wife, mother, grandmother, a nurse, a Christ Follower. Oh, those awesome words the Angels spoke to the ladies that early Sunday morning have never had more hope, help than right now for this family: He is not here! He is risen!! Father, we claim Your promise that You will soon return and raise all the righteous dead in Christ.✝️ Oh Lord, we long for Your soon return, amen.

For the past 8 days, I’ve been involved with 6 deaths on some level(preached two funerals). I’ve seen first hand the pain death can bring. Oh my, I’ve seen, felt the tears that’s why this day, Resurrection Sunday is so vital. He is not here! He is risen!! The hour is soon coming when all the dead in Christ will rise. He will command all to come forth!! Amen, amen.

Low in the grave He lay,✝️ but Sunday is coming. Up from the grave He arose.✝️ Death is a a reality we all have had to deal with. We are trying to minister to several families who are in throes of sorrow. Their loved ones were all Christ followers. Oh, they know they will see them again🙏.  Come celebrate Christ’s victory over death, hell, and the grave this Easter Sunday, 7:30 a.m. at Lake Blackshear Baptist Church. We will have a big breakfast to follow, amen.

It’s “Good Friday”. What’s good about it? Jesus died an agonizing death on the cross. At the end He cried out, “It is finished!”(John 19:30). The plan of salvation, God’s plan from day one, is complete. Oh, yes, it’s “Good Friday”. Thank You, Lord✝️. When He was on the cross, we were on His mind. Amen.

Yesterday was a day of pain. I received word of two deaths, one related by marriage and the other, a young man whose family I know so well. Oh, Father, how we long for Your return.✝️ The news is filled with violence. As we celebrate Your sacrifice, Your resurrection, we cry out, please help us, please deliver us, we thank You, now in Jesus’ name, amen.
