Advent begins today-✝️Jesus, coming into our world and most importantly into our lives.✝️ Oh, the signs are everywhere; we have our “tree” up.🎉 We have the greening of our Church today.⛪️ A song that I love (one of our ladies is singing it today) is “Mary, did you know?” “ Mary , did you know that your Baby Boy, would be the Great I Am?” John 14:6 has the ultimate verse, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". ✝️ Oh, Mary did you know? Do you know? Amen?

The family is here; we are on the way to Blackshear Villas for a worship service.🎉 We’ll take some song sheets so they can sing with us.😇It’s church;🎉we do everything but receive an offering.😇They can’t go to worship, so we take it to them.✝️Jesus said go into all the world, this is part of it,🙏besides, it’s fun.🎉Amen.

I have trouble remembering names. I bump into people all the time; I know them, but can’t call their names.🤔I haven’t forgot when it’s time to eat.😇 I have several passages of scripture engraved in my memory bank.✝️ My favorite is John 14:1-6. In the last verse, Jesus says “I am The Way, the Truth, the Life, and no one comes to the Father, but by Me”! Amen?

Our Sunday School lesson is about David thanking God for rescuing him.✝️ It got me thinking about how He had rescued me from the pit of sin and egotism. Has God rescued you? Let’s do what David did; let’s sing His praises. “Thank You, Lord for saving my soul, thank You for making me whole”.🎉Amen?

Headed for the nursing homes, they put up with my preaching, my singing and my jokes.😅As the moments of my life roll by (so quickly), I realize how blessed we are.✝️ God has made a way for me, even when I was far away from Him.🎉 I won’t bore you with details,🤨but if He can save me, then no one is beyond His reach.✝️ Do you know someone who needs God in their life? Pray and reach out to them, amen?

At a funeral service, I listened to a son give an awesome testimony about his late father.✝️ We laughed, and we wept.✝️ You can watch it on our website: lakeblackshearbaptistchurch.com.🙏 What will they say about us? I hope it’ll be what this son said “He’s with Jesus”. Amen?

We have a busy week, Brotherhood/WOM meeting tonight, coffee and prayer with the men on Tuesday morning and a funeral service that afternoon.✝️ In the midst of all our “busyness” let’s be sure and take time with God.🙏 He’s never too “busy” to spend time with us, and He’s got the entire universe to care for!✝️ Father, in the midst of our “busyness”, we bow before You, guide us, forgive us, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Our lives can change in a moment, ask Joseph. He was sold into slavery by his brothers, later he became the number two man in Egypt. He could have had vengeance,☹️instead he forgave and restored the relationship.👏 The Bible is very clear that we are to forgive others as we have been forgiven.✝️ If anyone has harmed me, I don’t remember it, and I forgive you.🙏I ask for your forgiveness, amen.

We had a good night of visitation;🎉 all of the homes were very receptive to us. I ministered at the nursing homes today.🙏 Several prayers were answered.✝️ Several people were discussing their varied talents, they got to me.🤔 All I can do is “run my mouth”.🤨 God’s given us all something to do, lets do it.🎉 I believe that one of the best gifts is that of “Encourager”! Amen.

Read Matthew 24, verse 42, no one knows the hour when the Lord will return. But as we read this chapter, He gives a long list of signs pointing to His return. Watching the news? Veterans Day,🇺🇸 I served, but didn’t do much.🤨 So many of my comrades served in dangerous places.🇺🇸 Please remember them in your prayers, many are struggling with physical and emotional pain.🙏 As the song says, “I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know  I’m free, and I won’t forget the men who died who gave that right to me”🇺🇸, amen?
