Had the entire family yesterday except for our son in law. He was on a combine trying to complete harvest before the rain. (We’ll make it to him at Christmas). So we had plenty to be thankful, did you? This morning the family will be at Blackshear Villas for worship (they may even let me sing😅). If I sound happy, I am.❤️ Today, we thank You, Father, for the good, even the bad, knowing You use everything. Help us to help others, amen.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow. 🦃 I have so much to be thankful for: family, friends, health, but most of all that Jesus came and died for a sinner like me. Satan takes delight in parading my sins before me, to my dismay, but Jesus, but Jesus at the right hand of the Father, intercedes for me, for us. Jesus affirms, “Father, they’ve applied My blood that I shed on the cross for their lives through faith in Me. Father, they belong to Me”. Get behind me, Satan!✝️✝️ Amen!

Awesome afternoon yesterday with two of our deacons, we were able to observe the Lord’s Supper with several “shut-ins”. Thank You Father, for giving us these great moments of worship. Jesus said in Matt. 25:37-40: “When you have done it unto the least of these, you have done unto Me”.❤️ Father, on this day of worship, draw us, encourage us, to come and worship, in Jesus’ name, amen.

What do you do when you can’t do anything? I’ve never felt so helpless. Things went from bad to worse yesterday. I went to the cross at our church, clutched it as tightly as I could and prayed. I felt the presence of the Lord. I asked Him to wrap His Arms around several families that are on my heart. It was all I could do.🙏 Father, this is Your day, help us, help us, amen.

I have a plateful today.😇 It’s easy to get your wagon loaded. I’m having to make a list so I won’t forget. My priority number one must be, one on one with the Father. There’s so many important people that I can’t contact, that don’t know I exist. I can’t get in the “Oval Office”, but the throne room of the Creator of the cosmos is wide open with no waiting line! Come on in, talk to the Father. He wants to hear from us!🙏 Father, today no requests, just thank You for loving us, amen!!

Let’s see…scientists (some of them) said there was just nothingness, and then a loud bang and the cosmos got started, by accident. The first rule of science is “everything has a cause”. For me and countless others, including many scientists, in the beginning God created. He said let there be and there was!! Father, thank You for Your creation, all the creatures in it and it’s beauty. Help us obey the command to care for it, amen!!

Last night at Brotherhood, a young man (young to me) gave an awesome testimony about how God had saved him and delivered him out of addiction. He had been in prison, and now he has begun a ministry to help others. Several were with him. I was so moved; I couldn’t help it; I jumped up and started singing “what a might God we serve!!” We plan to reach out and help in this ministry.✝️ Has God delivered you? Let’s sing, “What a mighty God we serve!” Amen.

If the trumpet blast was today, what would your reaction be? One of joy or one of dismay? I truly believe the clock is nearing the midnight hour, when the cry will come and the Bridegroom (Jesus) will take His Bride (the church) away. I find myself longing for this more and more. Father, today I lift up those who are “lost”, for those who need You in their lives, amen.

A precious mother and father in our church, their precious daughter is with Jesus. Friday, I preached my 14th funeral this year. Oh, I am in tears this morning. In my morning prayer, I cried out, “Father, we claim Your promise in 1st Thessalonians 4. Please come back now, with the trumpet blast, a great shout,call out our names, raise all the righteous in Christ and take us away!! Oh Father, please put Your arms all who sorrow, surround them with Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus' name, amen”.

Funeral yesterday for a community icon. I shared that he had helped many people over the years. He always told them, “don’t tell anyone!” He was obeying the Lord’s command in Matthew 6:1 (NLT): “Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds to be admired by others. If you do, no reward from your Father in heaven!” Father, today open our hearts to help, minister to others, not for the praise of others, but for a reward in heaven, amen.

Love the messages on church signs that tell us: “life is too short to hold a grudge!”. If anyone has wronged me, I don’t remember it. For any that I have wronged, I ask for your forgiveness. Jesus taught us in the Lords prayer to forgive us our debts as we forgive others. I don’t want to stand at the judgment seat of Christ and have Him ask me about a grudge that I had against someone, do you? Father, forgive us as we forgive others, in Jesus’ name, amen.
