What do you do when you can’t do anything? Several folks that I know: friends, family, fellow church members have their backs up against the wall. King David, in the same “mess”, wrote the Lord is my Shepherd even in the “valley of the shadow of death”. Father, we trust You, we lift up all those whose backs are up against the “wall”. Please be with them, deliver them in Jesus’ name, amen.

Message today is “One more message about Heaven”. Heaven on my mind a lot because of my age, the virus, the political unrest, the violence, and because I think His return is near. Maybe all of the above, I find my self praying, “Lord come back, raise the righteous dead in Christ and take us home with You”. Father, I pray that Your Holy Spirit would break through to all who are “lost”, before it is too late! We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

On the way to the family farm with a long time friend so he can experience real country. (This farm has been in the family since 1832.) We were so far back we didn’t get the Grand Old Opry till Monday.😇 I’m thankful for my raising (not rearing, that’s what mama did with a switch). Oh, what a mighty God we serve. I love that chorus. Can God do anything? Of course, He spoke the cosmos into existence (Genesis 1). He maintains it (Col. 1:17). He’s coming back for us (1st Cor. 15). Now in these last days, He is telling us to be faithful and to tell others He is coming back with power. Even so, come, Lord Jesus (Rev. 22:20). Amen.

The things I should do I don’t, and the things I shouldn’t I do.😕 We are engaged in spiritual warfare each day.🙏 That’s why I love Paul’s closing remarks in Romans 8. He gives a long list of things present and things to come that height nor depth or any other thing can ever separate us from the love of God. Why? Because it is in Christ Jesus! Thank You, amen.

Some scripture is so hard like Romans 8:30, you know the controversial one about predestination. It's over my “pay grade”, but I also read 2nd Peter 3:9: "Not willing that any should perish, but all should come to repentance!” Father, we trust You with our today and our eternity, in the name of Jesus who died for all, amen.

Jesus’ command is to go into all the world. Last evening, a Deacon and I drove about 43 miles to visit six homes and four live contacts.🎉 We have friends going into Morocco and Bolivia for missions, but we can go across the street, the road. Our community needs to know Jesus too😇. We can use our phones, Facebook. Let’s obey the command (Acts 1:7-8); let’s go into all the world, amen?!

Message Sunday will be “When the bottom falls out”. This week, I helped with the funeral of a friend. I attended the service of a church member’s sister, who passed unexpectedly, and then the son of of a dear lady in our church died yesterday. I heard from a former church member that in three days, three family members have passed. There’s more. The bottom’s fallen out. Oh Father, though we are walking in the “valley of the shadow of death” we will have no fear.You are with us. Help us feel Your Presence  today, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Remember singing this from your childhood? “Rain, rain, go away, come some other day”!  Hear the weather folks say that “Mother Nature” is in charge. That’s the name of a non-existent, pagan deity. The Father, the Creator is absolutely sovereign, and the best thing is that He loves us. In John 3:16, He loved us so much that He gave His only Son for us. Oh, that will make this rainy Thursday so good, amen.
