Jesus Is All We Have

Knocked down, trampled on yesterday, πŸ˜•Satan was throwing missiles. My chin was about one inch over my shoe tops. I went to our church supposedly to check the mail, but really it was to go to the cross. I threw my arms around it and cried out to God.πŸ™ We never know how much we need Jesus till He’s all we have.✝️ Father, I lift up all those in despair, we need You, “Oh, every hour we need You”! Amen! (Hebrews 4:16)

Pray for Deliverance

Praying for deliverance for those in Afghanistan and New Orleans,πŸ™but most of all for those who are “lost”. I heard a tragic story yesterday of an elderly man, sick, unresponsive, and in hospice. He is inπŸ™no relationship with Jesus or His church. One second in hell is too long, much less an eternity.πŸ™ Father, help us today, to share the gospel with all. We pray that Your Holy Spirit could break through, before it’s everlastingly too late, in Jesus’ name, amen.

God Has No Limits

Long time friend came to repair our AC, he shared that in the past two years - he had a. heart attack with a stent, a broken back, both hips broken and colon cancer.✝️ He is completely healed. We prayed together and gave God the glory. Father, this morning, I lift up a young woman to be healed of cancer, two families in sorrow, and a young man to be saved. You showed me again that Your authority and mercy know no limits, so I ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.

When the Answer is β€œNo”

Message today is “When the answer is no”. No? But God, I was asking for someone’s healing.πŸ˜• This is way over my “pay grade”, but God always does what is best. He sees and knows things we don’t. He’s God, and I “ain’t”. Father, we don’t always understand, but we trust You with our today and our eternity, help us “see”, in Jesus’ name, amen.

In the Arms of God

Funeral today for a good Christian man, I talked with his daughter. She gave an awesome testimony about his life. She spoke about how they were “saved” at the same time.✝️ She was standing at his bedside as he slipped away to heaven. Oh, it put me on shouting ground.πŸŽ‰Father, we pray now for those whose loved ones have gone to be with You, please put Your arms around them, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Teachers Are Special

I was reading yesterday. Reading is another thing I take for granted. My memory raced back to first grade, Ideal Elementary School. A dear lady, Ms. Allie Bell Johnson, my first grade teacher taught me to read! Oh what a joy, thank you Ms. Allie Bell. I’ll never forget her. Father, we pray for our teachers, please protect and help them; we need them! Amen. Do you remember that special teacher in your life? Amen.

You Can Go to the Bank on That!

Thought about how much I had “taken for granted”: worship as usual, supper at our favorite restaurant, shop and socialize at Walmart. Oh man, COVID has turned that upside downπŸ˜•. The one constant is Hebrews 13:5: “I will never leave or forsake you”. God’s love and care is the one constant in our lives. As we say in South GA, “You can go to the bank on that”. Amen!

Keep Us Faithful

Hard decision but we have pulled the plug on our weekend revival.πŸ˜₯ We are trying to keep everyone safe from the raging virus.πŸ™ This morning, I am praying for those in imminent danger in Afghanistan. Oh Father, please protect, deliver them, Satan’s henchmen are seeking to kill them.πŸ™πŸ™ And Father, please help us be faithful despite all Satan’s assaults against us, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Slow Down

Up early for prayer and coffee with the men. I was able to pray with a lady and her husband; she has same day surgery.πŸ™ I need to finish up the Wednesday Bible study, and we have revival this weekend.✝️ Father, slow us down so that we can rejoice in our time with You; it’s what keeps us going and focused on what is needful, amen.

What Will They Say About You?

Funeral today for a longtime friend, Christian, veteran, father, and grandfather in Andersonville. It won’t be difficult to find some good things to say about him. Three purposes in all my funerals are to glorify God, it is a worship experience, to honor the memory of the deceased and to comfort the family. I’ve asked this before. What do you want them to say at your funeral?  All I want or need is that he was in a right relationship with the Father through the Son, amen.

What Do You Want from Jesus?

Message this morning is “What do you want from Jesus?”. In Mark 10, blind Bartimaeus wanted his sight. A friend told me last week that he wanted his son to be saved. A dear lady wants her daughter healed. I’m not praying “if it be Your will”,  His will is the best for us. Tell Jesus what you want. James 4:2 says: we have not because we ask not. Lord, I’m asking for the son to be saved, the daughter to be healed. That is what I want. Jesus asked Bartimaeus, “What do you want of Me?” Let’s tell Him, believing, amen.

It Works

Late with my post.πŸ˜•I I had a long nite dealing with “upset” tummy, and Satan took advantage to parade all my sins before meπŸ˜•(there was a box car load). The Pepto Bismol took care of the tummy and the Precious Blood that Jesus shed on the cross erased all my sins.πŸŽ‰ Try it; it works. Pepto  Bismol for the tummy and ask Jesus into your heart and life. It really worksπŸŽ‰amen.

Father, We Need You

Don’t know how much more I can handle. A friend, my Christian brother passed away after a long struggle. A young lady, her mother and father are members of our church,  is battling cancer.πŸ™ Another member has the virus.✝️ Oh, Father, we need You. Oh, we need You every hour, help us, heal us, we ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

We Can Pray

Our daughter in Rome has a co-worker’s whose husband has the Covid.πŸ™ This is the second time she has been exposed.πŸ˜• All we can do here is pray. When she was a child, I would stand up for her to protect her. Now all I can do is pray.πŸ™ The prayers of a righteous person can do a lot (James 5:16). I’m not righteous, but I claim Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Father, we ask in Jesus’ Name, please heal us, deliver us, amen.

No Matter What

Jump started the day on Tuesday with coffee and prayer time with the men. Then a pop up blessing arrived with a bag of chocolate chip cookies tied to my mirror!πŸŽ‰One of the men left them for me. It doesn’t take much to make me happy.❀️ Then I met with one of our members, he’s facing major issues; we prayed together. I felt the Holy Spirit’s presence and agreed that “no matter what” God is with us and for us.✝️ Hebrews 13:5 states that He will never leave or forsake you. Amen!
