We do preach about the reality of hell, but I’m convinced that punishment or the threat of it will not change people. Our prisons are full of recidivists. In Rev.16 as the bowls of God’s wrath are poured out - despite being in agony - they refused to repent and instead cursed God. Only a breakthrough of the Holy Spirit and God’s grace can change a person. Oh church we need to be at work telling, sharing, reaching all who come into our path about God’s punishment (though it is real) and about His love and grace through His Son. Amen.
